How to change your custom header image

Assuming you want to change the header for an individual page AND you have activated the oik-header plugin

  1. Logon to site
  2. View the post or page where you want to change the header
  3. Edit the page
  4. Scroll down to the “Custom header image” metabox. If you cannot see the Custom header image metabox then use Screen Options to enable it, then scroll down to look for it.
  5. Type the location of the new image

Step 5. is the tricky one.. it assumes

  • you have uploaded the new image to the server
  • you can find the full file name of the image

Finding the URL for the oik custom header

A quick way to find the URL for the custom header is to use the "Featured Image" widget. Choose the image you want and then select the File URL from the Link URL field.

Ensure that the Custom header image checkbox is ticked.

After you have entered the custom header image URL and clicked on Update, the currently defined custom header image is displayed.
