Version 1.5 of oik – OIK Information Kit is now available from WordPress This version includes an improved version of the [ bw_pages] shortcode. This shortcode can be used to list ‘posts’, ‘pages’ and custom content types. Just about any parameter that you specify in the shortcode will be passed to the get_posts() function. The default parameters are as shown below: [ bw_pages post_type=’page’ numberposts=-1 orderby=’title’ order=’ASC’ exclude=current-post-ID]
When listing ‘pages’ the ‘post_parent’ is automatically set to the current post.
This shortcode lists, in descending date order, the 5 most recent Posts with a Category of News. [ bw_pages post_type=’post’ numberposts=5 orderby=’post_date’ order=’DESC’ category_name=’news’]
Pagination not working in WordPress 4.4
The oik base plugin provides a set of shortcodes where the output can be paginated. After upgrading to WordPress 4.4 we noticed that, even though the pagination links were correct, the content being displayed was always for the first page.
Swapping oik-plugins.com and oik-plugins.biz
There may be a disruption of service while this happens as it’s necessary to unpark the oik-plugins.com domain prior to making the switch.
oik-plugins.com has moved to SiteGround
In recent months, we’ve been running multiple versions of the oik-plugins website on different hosting companies. Today, we’ve bitten the bullet and have transferred the hosting from Tentahost to SiteGround.
Pagination not working properly in WordPress 4.1

How to fix an unresponsive Menu button in child themes of TwentyTwelve
Recently we noticed that the Menu button in child themes of TwentyTwelve was not behaving correctly; it was not expanding when you clicked on it.
We tracked it down to a change in the parent theme, between version 1.4 and 1.5.
New versions of oik2012, oik20120 and other bespoke themes built as child themes of TwentyTwelve will be made available in due course. In the mean time, here’s a brief explanation and some notes about our planned fix.
