The ratio of downloads of the oik nivo slider to oik is currently at 3.3 to 1 for today (17th April), and 4.25 to 1 since oik nivo slider was created. So it would appear that only a quarter of the people/machines who have downloaded oik nivo slider have any chance of getting it to work.
I think I’ll update the readme.txt file to make it even more obvious that you need to Download oik AND update the FAQ on this site too.
