oik version 1.17 now in alpha/beta test

The next version of oik is version 1.17.  This is now in alpha test on a number of sites running combinations of WordPress, BuddyPress and WordPress Multisite. There are many changes in the latest version of oik.  The most important, from our point of view, is adding functionality that will enable us to support versions FREE and Premium plugins from our own servers. There will still be WordPress plugins on WordPress.org. But there will be many more plugins on oik.
