I’ve done some testing of oik plugins with the latest development version of WordPress (3.5 RC1). Most things appear to be working except for these…
oik custom link image URL
There are a couple of bugs in the new Add media dialog which stop you from adding the oik custom image link URL which is used by [bw_images] and [nivo].
The workaround is to use Media > Library Edit to set the custom link URL.
Note: There is also a minor problem with the formatting of the field. It’s too small.
Another change in WordPress 3.5 is the removal of the Link Manager (trac 21307). For a new install there will no longer be a Links menu, and the default Blogroll items are not created. This will effectively make the [bw_bookmarks] shortcode ineffective for new installs. But if you are upgrading from a previous version of WordPress AND you do have links other than the defaults then it will remain active. The functionality that did exist still remains in core but is disabled. If you want to activate it then you can use the link-manager plugin.
