oik-nivo-slider version 1.7 comes complete with version 3.1 of the jQuery Nivo slider code from Dev7Studios. In version 1.7 of the oik-nivo-slider we take advantage of the improvements to the jQuery code for the Nivo slider to provide responsive sliders where the images are scaled to fit the available width.
In order to support websites using the original Nivo slider themes we continue to deliver version 2.7.1 of the jQuery Nivo slider code. To achieve this, the version numbers have been appended to file names and some of the 2.7.1 files have been edited. This is to allow you to mix different versions of the jQuery Nivo slider code on the same page.
