jQuery Nivo 2.7.1 for backward compatibility

In oik-nivo-slider version 1.7 the original implementation using jQuery Nivo 2.7.1 was retained for backward compatibility with existing websites. Whilst most site owners would be most appreciative of the benefits of the flexible responsive sliders provide with jQuery Nivo 3.1 there are some who will need to retain the ability to display sliders using the original themes. To achieve this the 2.7.1 version of the jQuery and CSS code was copied to a new set of files and suffixed 271 to differentiate from the 31 suffix for jQuery Nivo 3.1. We also changed the code, appending the 271 suffix where applicable. The themes for 2.7.1 are:

• default271 – renamed from default
• orman
• pascal
• oik271 – renamed from oik

If you were using the default or oik themes and you want to continue to use the 2.7.1 code you will need to update your shortcodes adding or altering the theme parameter. e.g. Change [nivo] or [nivo theme=default] to [nivo theme=default271] [nivo theme=oik] to [nivo theme=oik271] You should not need to alter any other parameters.
