Use the oik-header plugin to choose the image to be used as your custom header image on any page or post.
The header image on this page should look like this.
Note: The solution only works if your theme contains the required structures to allow matching with the CSS selectors.
So it should work for Artisteer generated themes or any theme where the header div has an ID of ‘header’ (e.g. the BuddyPress default theme).
Note also that since the image name is specified in the meta data you can choose to display a (different) featured image as well as customising the page header.
